Ifakara

The dental clinic Ifakara as a part of St. Francis Referral Hospital is supported by SDI since 1992. The unit consists of three treatment chairs and a dental laboratory. The range of offered treatments is wide. Extractions, surgery including fixation of fractures, all kind of conservative and endodontic dentistry as well as partial and full dentures can be performed. Prophylactic lessons and screenings in the schools of Ifakara complete the service of the SDI-Clinic.

The equipment regularly needs service and renewal. SDI accomplishes this achievement, provides consumable materials and organizes courses for the dentist and the assistants. If necessary new prophylaxis specialists are educated to perform school visits.
